Claudia received her B.A. from Columbia University in 1999 and graduated from the Catholic University Columbus School of Law specializing in International Law. As a Senior Associate Attorney at the Hess Law Firm, she provides legal representation to those seeking relief in the defensive immigration area of law: asylum, family-based petitions, voluntary departure, orders of removal and other forms of immigration relief before the Houston Immigration Court and State Family Courts. She previously worked with Catholic Charities, representing unaccompanied children in removal proceedings, asylum cases, and criminal cases. She is fluent in English and Spanish.
Claudia's recent legal business experience includes federal bankruptcy in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District and criminal defense as Attorney III at the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. Early in her career, Claudia focused on Global Procurement for Chevron Phillips Chemical Co and Wolters Kluwer ELM litigating matters in transactional corporate risk management, commercial matters involving software licensing contracts, overseas subsidiaries, master service agreements, information technology agreements, property and equipment leases and other commercial arrangements.
